The Loop Approach in your organization

The Loop Approach helps identify a coherent collaboration model that builds on the organization’s or team’s current state. Our experienced facilitators support you throughout the entire development journey.

Organizations face high pressure, especially in fast-paced and uncertain times. The challenge is to foster a healthy corporate culture and keep collaboration flexible—making the organization future-ready.

In search of solutions that meet these challenges, organizations often get entangled in complex processes. These cost money, time, and energy—without delivering effective results.

With the Loop Approach, we’ve created a transformation process that provides a clear framework through three modules of two days each, while helping to incorporate the unique needs and realities of each team. The goal: to find the collaboration model that fits—on the job, team by team, step by step.

The Loop Approach can serve as the right process design for transformation initiatives in various scenarios. Here’s a glimpse into different case studies:

In 3 Modules to Effective Collaboration

Clarity

Clarity is the foundation of good work. That’s why we kick off the transformation with a module dedicated to this topic. In this module, the team creates a shared foundation for working in a self-organized way. They align on common goals and the overarching purpose, take stock of the skills within the team, and clarify what each team member actually does day-to-day.

The first module is structured into three building blocks: clear alignment, well-leveraged potential, and distributed responsibilities.

  1. Clear Alignment: Why does the team exist? What is its reason for being?
  2. Well-Leveraged Potential: What knowledge and skills do team members bring to the table?
  3. Distributed Responsibilities: How are responsibilities allocated across roles within the team?

Module 2: From Foundations to Everyday Practice
Module 2 focuses on making sure the insights from Module 1 actually take root within the team. In a typical team transformation, a few weeks have usually passed since Module 1, during which the newly learned behaviors have been practiced and integrated into day-to-day work.

Module 2 is structured around two main building blocks, both addressing the question of how a team can turn its potential and intentions into the best possible outcomes:

  1. Individual Effectiveness: How can each team member be effective on their own and manage themselves efficiently?
  2. Team Effectiveness: How can the team coordinate well, make the most of meetings and tools, and be effective together?

Module 3: Evolution
The third and final module of the Loop Approach focuses on evolution — that is, how the team can continue solving any challenges that arise in a well-functioning organization, even without external support. It consists of two main building blocks:

  1. Adaptability: How do we evolve the structure of the organization? How do we set new rules for ourselves? How do we create and adapt roles as needed?

  2. Feedback and Conflict Competence: How does the team give each other regular feedback that improves both work and relationships? How can all conflicts be resolved constructively, turning them into fuel for growth?

Dr. Moritz Heimes, Rail System Digitization (Digitale Schiene Deutschland, Deutsche Bahn)

"No one can tell us exactly what the rail system of the future will look like. That’s why it’s even more important to bring together experts who can combine innovative thinking with self-organization. Flat hierarchies, clear responsibilities, and fast decision-making are essential for this. The Loop Approach has helped us build exactly that kind of culture."
